• Details:  A beautifully made American Eagle figurine.  Bisque porcelain with wonderful detail. Individually outlined feathers, expressive eyes, makes this eagle look very realistic.  He is standing on a rock and his talons are clearly marked.  This piece is unmarked except for a foil label that simply reads "Made in Taiwan".  The Bald Eagle is the National Bird of the USA, a very nice addition to your patriotic display or 4th of July decor.   Perfect gift for someone who loves birds, especially birds of prey.

The bald eagle is the national bird of the USA.  Bald eagles are not actually bald, the name derives from an older meaning of the word, "white headed". The adult is mainly brown with a white head and tail.  They are birds of prey, mostly found in North America but can be seen as far south as Northern Mexico.  It is found near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting.  It is a truly majestic bird.
