Pattern 6701 was an exclusive. Max Schoenfeld — a Los Angeles distributor who worked with some of the finest Japanese porcelain houses of the mid-century — commissioned this design only for himself. The initials "MS" on the backstamp of each piece confirm it. The pattern is quietly striking: blue and green grape leaves with scattered purple clusters and platinum rim detail, versatile enough to suit a formal dinner or a farmhouse table and beautiful beside purple, green, or warm neutral tones.
Twelve pieces for two people, each six-piece setting with a dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, dessert bowl, cup, and saucer. One dessert bowl has heavier platinum wear than the others — photographed for full transparency. We also carry matching serving pieces and additional place setting configurations.
For a collector drawn to California import china, a lover of grape motifs, or anyone who wants a pattern that is genuinely uncommon.
