Produced by Harker Pottery in the 1950s — America's oldest pottery, founded in 1840 — these four dessert and salad plates carry the classic Fragonard courting couple motif surrounded by a full border and center verge of 22K gold filigree. The pattern is sometimes called George & Martha, though Harker's own mark simply references the Fragonard imagery. Backstamp confirms Harker's 1950s mark.
