- Details: This is such a bright decorative plate, it makes you happy just looking at it! Beautiful detail throughout the entire piece. Its the much loved Millefleur pattern which translates to Million Flowers. It has peonies, cherry blossoms, lotus, poppies, chrysanthemums, what else do you see? The plate is bordered with the Greek Key (or Meandering shape, in the Orient, symbolizes nature, a meandering river), in varying colors of yellow, green, purple and blue. There are gold accents here and there throughout the plate and it is rimmed in gold. The back is stamped: "Decoration Only" and it has a triangle stamp with a teacup and Chinese Characters, after some research we found this mark belongs to Zhongguo Zhi Zao and goes back to the 1970's, plus the warning about it being "for decoration only" is circa 1973 when concerns regarding lead paint were heightened. Overall a beautiful plate with vibrant colors, really a gorgeous decoration for a tabletop using a plate stand or your wall collection. For decoration only, not for food use.
