Bauer & Pfeiffer's reticulated porcelain bowl is pierced to resemble woven wicker or a trellis, with a hand-painted orange tulip and other blooms in yellow and purple, finished with gold accents throughout.

Wuerttembergische Porzellanmanufaktur Bauer & Pfeiffer was founded in Schorndorf, Germany in 1904 by C.M. Bauer and Pfeiffer, originally producing coffee and tea sets and dinnerware before expanding into hotel porcelain, which became very successful. C.M. Bauer passed away in 1905, never seeing the company's full success, and in 1917 it became a stock corporation. B&P enjoyed years of prosperity before running into financial difficulty, closing for good in 1934.
