One side carries a commemorative decal honoring the Legion's soldiers; the other features a boldly embossed American eagle. The bottle neck has four small pour spouts, and the stopper is a large round cobalt blue glass dome with an embossed eagle foil label. It retains the original JW Dant side label — bottled in Louisville, Kentucky — plus a partial original tax strip, and the bottom is embossed "J.W. Dant 1969." The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 by veterans of World War I and has grown into one of the most influential nonprofit organizations in the United States, with nearly 2 million members today.
