Earthy browns, rust red, mustard yellow, olive green, and a three-dimensional butterfly perched on the sugar lid — the Indian Summer set captures October the way October should be captured.
Designed by Lori Siebert for the Zrike Company in the 1990s, the Indian Summer collection was part of a larger coordinated line that included the matching coffee pot and salt and pepper set — also available in the shop. The octagonal shapes give both pieces a geometric backbone that grounds the hand-painted Southwestern motifs, which read as part Aztec, part Native American, entirely their own. Finished in a high-gloss glaze. Both pieces retain their original store stickers and have never been used. Note: there is light crazing in some areas, consistent with the ceramic and age.
A natural choice for a fall table or a kitchen that changes with the seasons. A distinctive gift for the person who decorates intentionally and loves a palette that honors the harvest — housewarmings, autumn birthdays, or simply because October deserves good things on the table.
