Rows of tiny glass beads, a curved serving tray, and a monogram etched into both pieces — this is the kind of set that was made with a specific person in mind, and found its way here waiting for the right one again.
Imperial Glass Company's Candlewick pattern — also known as Boopie or Berwick — was one of America's most beloved glassware lines, produced from the 1930s through Imperial's closing in 1984. This open creamer and sugar set comes with its original curved tray and has a large script "J" etched into both pieces, making it an ideal match for anyone whose family name starts with that letter: Jones, Johnson, Jefferson, Jackson, and dozens of others. The blown glass is clear and brilliant, the beaded detail precise and tactile. Imperial Glass produced Candlewick from their Bellaire, Ohio factory; the pattern is now housed in the National Imperial Glass Museum.
A distinctive and personal housewarming or hostess gift for the right "J" family — or a welcome addition for any Candlewick collector. Beautiful on a breakfast tray, a bar cart, or a formal dining table.
