Brown and tan drip glaze, solid American stoneware, the unmistakable warmth of an 80s farmhouse kitchen — and now just as at home on a modern cottage table.

Gailstyn-Sutton's Brittany line was one of the defining stoneware collections of the 1980s, a vast range that covered everything from crocks and canisters to pitchers and coffee pots. The trademark was filed in 1981 and not renewed after 1989, placing this set squarely in that decade. The brown-over-tan glaze has the kind of earthy, tactile quality that never really went out of style — it just took a few decades to come back around. This three-piece set — creamer, sugar bowl, and lid — is in excellent condition with a small manufacturing indentation under the lid (not a chip, doesn't affect use).

At home on a country breakfast table, a farmhouse-style kitchen shelf, or mixed into a gathered collection of American stoneware. A natural housewarming gift filled with a flavored sugar or paired with a local coffee — unpretentious, warm, and genuinely useful.
