Hutschenreuther has been one of Germany's most storied porcelain houses since 1814, and this piece carries both a maker's mark and an importer's stamp that together pin its date with real precision.
- Maker: Hutschenreuther (imported by Pasco, New York)
- Pattern: The Dundee
- Materials: Porcelain with gold detailing
- Origin: Bavaria, Germany
- Era: Vintage, 1962
- Dimensions: 7" diameter × 7" tall (including lid)
- Condition: Excellent vintage condition — no issues found. Please review photos closely before purchasing, as all sales are final.
A single large pink rose commands the center of the lid, surrounded by lovely embossed swirls, a scalloped border, and a thick gold rim that gives the whole piece a romantic, almost timeless quality.
The deep, generously proportioned bowl makes it as practical as it is beautiful for a formal or romantic table.
The backstamp reads “Hutschenreuther Selb LHS Bavaria Germany” — a mark used between 1939 and 1965 — along with a Pasco importer stamp (Pasco, based in New York, operated from 1915 to 1970). Our research places this piece at 1962, when both marks would have been in concurrent use.
A treasured find for Hutschenreuther or Bavarian porcelain collectors — we carry additional serving pieces and complete dinnerware sets in this pattern.
