Talavera pottery has been made in Puebla, Mexico for over four centuries — and every piece is still made by hand.

This two-bowl condiment set in classic blue and white with yellow flower accents carries the mark "Hand Painted, IMP, Puebla Mexico" with a triangle — IMP referring to the Instituto Mexicano del Patrimonio, the organization that protects and certifies the authenticity of Mexico's Talavera tradition. The metal lids are aged, showing black patina and oxidation marks consistent with use; the ceramic itself is in very good condition with no issues. We were unable to date these precisely, as Talavera pottery continues to be made today.

Versatile at the table — sauces and dressings, mustard and relish, dips for a gathering, or jams and jellies for a brunch spread. Beautiful for outdoor entertaining and a natural conversation piece.
