The Colony Harvest pattern is one of the most beloved milk glass lines ever produced in America — and the Wedding Bowl is its crown jewel.
Made by Indiana Glass under the Colony brand (never sold under the Indiana name), the Harvest pattern — sometimes called Harvest Grapes — was primarily distributed through the S&H Green Stamp program, which meant you earned it, piece by coveted piece. This tall covered compote is the Wedding Bowl form: a graceful pedestal bowl topped with a lid whose finial is shaped like a cluster of grapes, perfectly mirroring the embossed grape clusters and leaves that cover the bowl itself. At over 10 inches tall, it makes a commanding and romantic statement.
Stunning at a wedding or bridal shower table, beautiful used as a floral vase with a flower frog, or simply displayed as the collectible heirloom it is. Note: there is a faint brown line along the top of the lid and a couple of small dark spots on the bowl grapes — all photographed and consistent with age.
