A quart tin of motor oil turned coin bank, its red label and bold "Top-Kik" lettering bringing a welcome shot of color to a shelf of vintage finds.
From the Davis Refining Corporation of Tallahassee, Florida, this tin held the company's re-refined Top-Kik motor oil. It's New Old Stock and was never put to use, though the years have left a touch of rust along the top metal and a fading shine — small marks of age on an otherwise well-kept piece.
A natural pick for the gas-and-oil memorabilia collector, lovely displayed alongside other vintage oil-can banks, or simply on its own as a bit of personality in a garage, workshop, or man-cave shelf.
