Details: This very beautiful and traditional coffee pot is called a Dallah (Bedouin). Used for centuries to brew coffee with spices, the tradition goes back to the 17th century. Although not nearly that old, this vintage Dallah is 100% authentic, hand carved in Jerusalem, marked on handle. It is said that these coffee pots, with the birds on top, are called "ringing" kettles because as the water heats, the steam creates a ringing noise. We didn't try it out, but thought we'd mention it. Perfect old-world, timeless touch for any kitchen. In absolute wonderful vintage condition and ready for gift-giving or your own enjoyment.
