This is an original Two Homers outer cigar box label — a vintage chromolithograph from the 1930s, produced for A. J. Golden of Bonneauville, Pennsylvania — the same company behind the celebrated Blue Ribbon cigar brand. Two homing carrier pigeons on a brilliant yellow background. Two Homers in bold red. And across the bottom, the tagline that is impossible to forget: They Always Come Back.

The homing pigeon was one of the most celebrated animals of the early 20th century — used in warfare, racing, and long-distance communication before the telegraph made them obsolete. By the 1930s they were nostalgic icons, and A. J. Golden knew exactly what they were doing naming a cigar brand after them. An original in unused NOS condition. Age-appropriate yellowing on the reverse only — the face is vivid and pristine. Two available.

A. J. Golden of Bonneauville, Pennsylvania produced the Two Homers brand from approximately 1910 through the 1930s, alongside their celebrated Blue Ribbon brand. They were the most successful business ever to operate in Bonneauville, PA, producing their last cigar in March 1943.
