A hungry lion learns that rabbits make better friends than dinner — illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren, one of the great mid-century picture book artists.
This is the original 1952 Simon & Schuster release, now over 70 years old and carrying its age gracefully. Covers show significant wear; gold binding very worn; back lightly faded; a child named "Liza" signed the inside front cover in pencil — with a charming backwards Z. Interior in good condition; pages beginning to yellow with slight corner folds. No tears, no writing inside, no missing or loose pages. Please review all photos including the zoomed condition shots.
A collectible for the Little Golden Book enthusiast or the Tenggren admirer — one of the most beloved illustrators of the golden age of American picture books.
