A nostalgic gift for a young Rudolph fan, or for the collector of vintage Little Golden Books.

Rudolph was created in 1939 by Robert L. May, a Montgomery Ward copywriter asked to write a Christmas story the Chicago department store could give away to shoppers; about 2.4 million copies were handed out that first year. The Little Golden Book version, adapted by Barbara Shook Hazen and illustrated by Richard Scarry, first appeared in 1958 and has been a holiday favorite on children's shelves ever since.
