Geometric cut glass with diamond and stripe cuts, a squared stem, and a beveled square base — this set of six Art Deco champagne coupes comes from a glassmaker so rare, we could find almost nothing about them.

Diamond and stripe cuts run across the bowl of each glass, paired with a squared stem and a beveled square base — a fully geometric silhouette from bowl to foot. The mold seam does not run to the top edge, a technical detail consistent with 1940s–1950s production.

A wonderful set for a serious barware collector, an Art Deco enthusiast, a maximalist entertainer, or anyone who wants a set of champagne coupes that nobody else at the table will ever have seen before. Beyond their original toasting role, they're a natural fit for craft cocktails, or as small, striking cups for dips and individual desserts at a party.

Saben Glass Co. operated out of New York and made at least two patterns — Contessa and Scanda — in the 1940s. They filed a trademark for "Royal Family" in 1949 covering sterling silverware, coasters, and drinking glasses, and another for silverplated wares in 1951. By 1957 two of their trademarks had been canceled — almost nothing else is known, which means what you're holding is a genuinely scarce set from a maker who left very little behind.
