Details: This is a really gorgeous set of champagne glasses!! The pattern screams Art Deco, with those geometrical diamond and stripe cuts, plus the square stem and square base. There is so much to love about these champagne coupes, not only the beautiful mix of patterns, but even the stem has a geometrical pattern plus the square foot has beveled corners, just gorgeous! These glasses were made by Saben Glass Co in New York. We have done some painstaking research into this glass maker but found very little. These are molded, or pressed, glass, but the seam does not go all the way to the top edge, which is another sign they are old. Hand Wash is necessary to maintain condition. Gorgeous for the holidays and very special occasions! Great gift, these are in perfect condition.

We know very little about Saben Glass, we know they made this pattern, as well as another glass pattern called Scanda in the 1940's. On Nov 19, 1949 they filed for a new trademark called Royal Family for Sterling Silverware, Coasters, Drinking Glasses and Pitchers, etc. On Jan 30, 1951 they filed for another trademark to make silverplated wares and in 1957 two of their trademarks were canceled. We can find no more information on this company.
