A fun find for the die-cast collector who likes a lesser-known maker, or a charming gift for anyone who loves classic car miniatures and pull-back toys.
This die-cast Mercedes Cabriolet, styled after a mid-1930s convertible, features two working doors, chrome-style trim, and a pull-back action motor. Tai Cheong Toys was a Hong Kong-based maker established in the early 1990s, also branded as SS and TC. Its cars were often sold through dollar stores and impulse-toy brands such as Ja-Ru, and the company had largely faded from retail shelves by the 2000s, an active run of roughly 10 to 15 years.
Pair it with our other vintage die-cast classics for a collected-over-time shelf display.
