A meaningful piece for the die-cast historian or collector who appreciates a good provenance story along with their model cars.
This model carries the Dinky name, one of the great marques of British die-cast. Dinky Toys were made by Meccano in Liverpool, England, from the 1930s until production ended in 1979. In 1987, Matchbox, then owned by Universal, bought the rights to the name and launched the Dinky Collection, a line of 1:43 scale models issued from 1988 onward. This Delahaye comes from that line, made in China in 1990, and pairs classic Dinky styling, with white-wall tires, dark green pinstriping, and chrome-style accents, with Matchbox production.
Pair it with our other vintage die-cast classics for a collected-over-time shelf display.
