A pair of Fitz & Floyd Florentine Fruit candle holders, with sculpted apples and blackberries climbing cobalt-blue scrollwork. Rich color and gilded detail make them a centerpiece even before the candles are lit.

- Quantity: Set of 2
- Materials: Hand-painted earthenware with gold accents
- Dimensions: 5.75″ tall each

Each holder is molded in relief with glossy red-blushed apples, purple blackberries and veined green leaves on a textured white ground. Cobalt-blue ribbon scrolls with gold highlights wind around the stem, and green rope-twist borders trim the rim and the scalloped base. The glaze is rich and glossy, in the spirit of majolica.
They're lovely on a mantel or dining table, or flanking a sideboard. They'd make a natural gift for anyone who loves a colorful, layered tablescape.
Fitz & Floyd began in 1960 as a maker of hand-painted ceramic giftware and tableware, and became known for lavishly detailed, whimsical designs, especially seasonal and fruit-and-garden themes. Florentine Fruit was in the line for only a few years, from 1997 to 2000, and grew into a full collection of canisters, serving bowls, plates, creamers and sugars, salt and pepper shakers, vases and candle holders. Lifetime Brands acquired the company in 2017. Today the retired pattern is a favorite with collectors who like to build a table around it.
