The same beautifully hand-painted Giftco ruby-throated hummingbird — vivid, true-to-life colors, that lovely bisque porcelain warmth — comes at a lower price point here due to one small detail: the pistil is missing from the flower.

  • Maker: Giftco Inc., made in China (original sticker intact)
  • Materials: Bisque porcelain, hand painted
  • Dimensions: 3.75" diameter x 3.25"H
  • Candle size: Taper
  • Origin: China
  • Era: Vintage 1980s
  • Condition: Average vintage — missing pistil on flower, priced accordingly; no chips, scratches, or other defects. Please review photos closely before purchasing, as all sales are final.

A charming accent for a nature-inspired home, a bird lover's collection, or a summer table display.

It's subtle enough that you'd never notice unless you were looking for it, but we want you to know. The original "Made in China" foil sticker is still intact, and there are no other chips, scratches, or defects.

We also carry this same piece in perfect condition at a higher price — if this is a gift, that one may suit you better; if it's for yourself and you love the piece as it is, this is a lovely way to bring it home.

The original Giftco Inc. was a powerhouse in the American giftware and fundraising industry throughout the 1980s and 1990s. They were a staple in household holiday decorations and elementary school fundraiser catalogs.  Originally operating out of a 50,000-square-foot facility in Northbrook, Illinois, Giftco grew exponentially during the early-1980s collectibles boom, by 1985 they had moved to a larger location in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  Their business model was always importing mass-imported goods from Taiwan and Hong Kong and selling them wholesale.  However, by the late 1990s, consumer tastes had changed drastically, they decided to restructure by completely liquidating their novelty gift business, and launch a "new" Giftco, now an online B2B promotional network that continues to use the same Giftco name.
