Pink and orange sunrise over a dirt road, a cabin, chickens in the yard — a morning scene so quiet it feels like a held breath.
This original 1930 advertising calendar was issued for Merchants Mutual Casualty Company of Buffalo, NY, with the local agent Fred E. Mineah of Freeville, NY. The lithograph print features a pastoral rural landscape in warm early-morning light — the kind of image that sold calm and stability to Depression-era insurance customers. The calendar has been used; only December remains attached. The print itself is in wonderful condition with no tears, writing, or stains. The cardboard has honest wear: bent corners and a small right-side tear. The image is shown framed in one of the photos as an example of how beautifully it displays — frame not included.
A lovely piece for advertising ephemera collectors, rural Americana enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates the pastoral lithograph tradition of early 20th-century American commercial art.
