Six inches tall and from the Rosebud Collection, dated to 1984–1986. The ivory and gold palette is classic Lenox, and the embossed rose has the kind of quiet depth that only good porcelain achieves.
Lenox was founded in Trenton, New Jersey in 1889 and became the first American china company to produce wares for the White House, beginning with Woodrow Wilson in 1918. The Rosebud Collection carried that tradition of understated American elegance into the 1980s.
