Three dachshunds in a row — wire-haired, long-haired, and smooth-coated — each one rendered with enough detail that a Dachshund owner will immediately recognize their dog. In antique brass tone with a secure rollover safety clasp, signed JJ on the back. This is exactly the kind of clever, affectionate design that made Jonette Jewelry's 1980s output so beloved and so collectible today.
Jonette Jewelry Company began as the Providence Jewelry Company in Rhode Island around 1935, eventually becoming Jonette and adopting the "JJ" mark in 1970. Designer Alan Weimer joined in the 1980s and is credited with the company's most distinctive figural pieces. The company closed in 2006.
The perfect gift for a Dachshund person — and if you know one, you know they are very much a Dachshund person. Also a wonderful find for any JJ Jonette collector or lover of figural animal jewelry.
