Three figures in a field, a woman and child in the foreground, a man carrying hay to the right — "The Harvest" was published as a hand-colored lithograph by Currier & Ives in 1849, and Royal China of Sebring, Ohio brought it to the American dinner table in pink and white ceramic that became one of their most popular patterns of all. The backstamp reads: C & I, "Harvest," underglaze print by Royal.
Made around 1967, with the classic swirled and wood-grain border that is immediately recognizable to anyone who grew up with Currier & Ives dinnerware. Three plates available, all in excellent condition. We carry other Currier & Ives pieces in the shop — search "Currier & Ives" to browse the full collection.
A wonderful replacement plate, a collector's addition, or a warm Americana gift.
