Blue Garland by Johann Haviland — delicate blue florals cascading all the way around the border and center, finished with a platinum rim — is exactly that kind of pattern. Simple enough to live with daily, refined enough to feel special. Made in Bavaria and stamped accordingly, these 6.25-inch plates were distributed through the Johann Haviland Corporation in the 1970s–80s, often found in American homes as grocery store premiums — which makes finding them in this condition all the more pleasing.
