Three pieces, three decades of American boyhood. The star of the set is a rare yellow neckerchief stamped with “Be Prepared” and the iconic three-finger salute — a color variant seldom seen and immediately striking. Paired with it is a mid-century BSA field/garrison cap from the 1950s–60s, structured and worn with the quiet authority of a kid who showed up. Rounding out the trio is a Cub Scout Rocket Derby medal from the 1970s, gold-plated (or brass — it would clean up beautifully), suspended on its original blue and yellow ribbon with pin-back intact.
The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910, and the “Be Prepared” motto has anchored the organization's identity since its earliest days — a phrase now inseparable from decades of American scouting culture, uniforms, and keepsakes like these.
A beautifully cohesive starter or addition for the BSA collector, a nostalgic gift for the Eagle Scout in your life, or a display piece for anyone drawn to mid-century Americana and the earnest world it came from.
