An exceptional gift for the serious collector or the lover of antique European porcelain. Spectacular at a formal table or displayed on a dresser or shelf.
Produced by Reinhold Schlegelmilch in Prussia (now Suhl, Germany) between approximately 1900 and 1910, the RS Prussia backstamp was used from the late 1870s through 1918 — making these over a century old. The translucent porcelain is extraordinarily fine, almost weightless in the hand, with intricate gilt borders of leaves and lines terminating in a gilded rim. The shadow leaves — softly rendered foliage in varying greens behind the bold purple blooms — are the hallmark detail RS Prussia collectors seek. We are confident these are authentic, not reproductions.
