Three of the most beloved breakfast bowls in American dinnerware history — together.

  • Maker: Franciscan (Johnson Brothers / Wedgwood era)
  • Pattern: Desert Rose
  • Materials: Ceramic, hand-painted
  • Origin: Made in England
  • Era: Vintage, circa 1979–1984
  • Quantity: Set of 3
  • Size: 5¾" diameter x 1½" tall
  • Condition: Very good vintage. No chips or crazing noted. Minor surface wear consistent with age. Please review photos closely before purchasing, as all sales are final.

These three cereal bowls were produced in England after Franciscan's manufacturing shifted there circa 1979, made by Johnson Brothers under the Wedgwood umbrella, still carrying the classic hand-painted pink rose on warm off-white ceramic. The shallow, wide profile suits cereal and oatmeal, but works just as well filled with olives, nuts, or a small fruit salad. Hand wash is recommended.

Complete a set, start one, or use them as charming individual serving bowls for casual entertaining. They make a particularly sweet housewarming or birthday gift for anyone with a love of vintage American patterns.

Desert Rose was introduced in 1941 and grew into one of the most collected dinnerware patterns ever made, prized for its hand-painted pink rose and green leaf motif on warm, embossed ceramic.
