Federal Glass introduced their Revival Carnival line in 1974 with a deliberately nostalgic intention — "Yesterday's styling and colorful iridescence," they called it — and the result is something that feels genuinely timeless.

This 11" shallow serving plate in the Pioneer pattern (catalog #SM2806/405) is pressed in a warm smoked glass base and finished with the shimmering, color-shifting iridescent surface that defines the carnival glass tradition. The center carries an Intaglio (recessed) fruit motif, and the border is pleated and ruffled in a way that catches light from every angle. Use it as a fruit bowl, a centerpiece, a display piece, or a serving plate for a gathering that deserves a little shimmer.

A beautiful gift for the iridescent glass collector, the vintage kitchen devotee, or anyone with an appreciation for American decorative glass with genuine presence.
