- Details: This gorgeous Smoked Carnival serving plate / shallow glass bowl, was made by Federal Glass, introduced circa 1974. Based on the traditional Carnival glass of the past, Federal Glass was re-introducing the nostalgic pattern as "Yesterday's styling and colorful iridescence" in a new smoked glass. This bowl is embossed with fruits in the center (Intaglio), and has a wonderful pleated and ruffled border. We think the best part about this bowl is the colorful Carnival finish, just beautiful. This is a very versatile serving plate, works great as a fruit bowl, or just as pretty all by itself as decor.
