She's yawning, her candle is lit, and her little bottom is peeking right out of her open petticoat flap — completely unabashed, utterly endearing, and 100% the first thing you'll notice.
Part of Jasco's Merri-Bells collection and titled "Bedtime," this 1978 bisque porcelain figural bell is one of those wonderfully specific holiday pieces that captures a moment with real personality. A sleepy Victorian girl in a red split-petticoat, candle in hand, yawning her way to Christmas Eve bed — and yes, the flap is open and her little bottom is on full display. Jasco leaned into it. We love them for it. The bisque finish gives the hand-painting a warmth and intimacy that glazed pieces can't match. The gold-cord clapper is intact. Marked "Jasco Taiwan" inside.
A delightful gift for the Jasco collector, the bell enthusiast, or anyone who appreciates holiday pieces with genuine wit, charm, and a little unexpected cheek.
