AK Kaiser Porcelain represents craftmanship and tradition for more than 140 years.  Founded in 1872 by August Alboth, originally known as "Porzellanveredelung August Alboth". His two sons joined the company, Ernst in 1875, and Willy in 1925.  When Ernst Alboth died in 1927, the company changed its name to "Porzellanfabrik AL-KA Kunst Alboth & Kaiser".  That lasted from 1928 until 1951, when they changed it to "Porzellanfabrik AL-KA Kunst Alboth & Kaiser K.G", lead by Georg Kaiser, Willy Alboth and Hubertus Kaiser (Georg's son).  Georg Kaiser died in 1964, shortly after, the company refocused on export and changed its name to "Kaiser Porzellan".  PM Kapital GmbH & Co. KG, a German holding company, owns Kaiser Porcelain. PM Kapital acquired Kaiser-Porzellan in 2001 and later purchased the Goebel porcelain brand in 2010, uniting the two heritage porcelain companies under one roof.
