This original Don Remo inner box label is becoming increasingly scarce — original examples in unused NOS condition are rarely found. Don Remo was named for Remo Loaiza San Vicente, an important tobacco farmer from Mexico whose name lent the brand both authenticity and exotic appeal. Very little is known about Apter's — which makes every surviving piece of their ephemera that much more rare. Two available.

Consolidated Lithographing Corporation was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1925 by Jacob A. Voice and became one of the largest printers of paper labels in America in the early 20th century.
