Gold leaf. Embossing. Full color lithography. And it was designed to go on the outside of a cigar box.

This is an original Red Tips outer cigar box label — an antique chromolithograph from the 1920s, produced by the Consolidated Lithographing Corporation of Brooklyn, New York. A beautiful black horse head set within a horseshoe, a riding whip beside it — the unmistakable visual language of the thoroughbred racing world, applied to a box of cigars. The message was clear: these cigars are as fine as a champion racehorse. Copies of this label circulate widely online — an original in unused NOS condition is a rare find. One available.

New Old Stock, never used, mint condition. Age-appropriate yellowing on the reverse only — the face is vivid and pristine.

Frame it for a study, a library, a bar, an equestrian-themed room, or a man cave that appreciates its sporting imagery. At 8.5 inches wide it fits a standard 9x7 or 10x8 frame beautifully.

A wonderful gift for a tobacciana collector, a horse racing enthusiast, an equestrian lover, a cigar aficionado, or anyone who appreciates the golden age of American chromolithographic printing.

Consolidated Lithographing Corporation was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1925 by Jacob A. Voice and became one of the largest printers of paper labels in America in the early 20th century.
