Not every aftershave bottle ends up on a shelf as a conversation piece. This one was designed to.
Part of Avon's Smart Move collection from the 1970s, this brown glass decanter is shaped as a chess rook — the tower, the castle, the most underestimated piece on the board. Originally sold with Öland or Spicy aftershave (both introduced in 1970), it's now empty and ready for display. Avon began producing novelty decanters in the late 1960s, and the chess series became one of their most sought-after collectible sets. Brown glass body, silver-tone plastic top, 3 oz capacity. We carry the King and Bishop from this set as well.
Display it on a desk, a bookshelf, or a bar cart — or give it to the chess player who collects everything.
