The easy fix for a broken or missing Altesse water goblet set, since the pattern is discontinued, and a lovely stem in its own right for water, wine, or a dinner-party toast.

Altesse combines three motifs, arches, pin wheels, and criss-cross lines, on a blown-glass crystal bowl that rests on a six-sided faceted stem, and it was produced in France by Cristal D'Arques-Durand during the 1980s before being retired. The company traces its roots to Verrerie Cristallerie d'Arques, a glassworks established in 1825 in Arques, in northern France. The Durand family took control in 1916, and in 1968 the company introduced the Cristal d'Arques brand, mechanizing the production of stemmed crystal glassware and bringing French crystal within reach of far more tables. Because Altesse is no longer made, a single goblet like this one is often the simplest way to complete or repair a set.
