Details: These is a large set of Mid Century salt and pepper shakers, large because they are 5.5 inches Tall, that's a lot of seasoning! These were all the rage in the 1940's and 1950's and are highly collectible today. They are made of light wood with decals showing fruits and a nice bottle of wine in those great wicker basket holders, could be interpreted as a Summer or an Italian theme. The word Salt and Pepper are done in block letters. They still have their original wooden stoppers and are stamped JAPAN on the bottom. If you look very closely, they both have tiny remnants of their original red and gold foil labels but there's really no way to tell who made them. Great for a picnic, or any outdoor gathering. We could also see them at your next pizza party or Italian themed get-together. Perfect retro-kitchen decor!
