Details: These is a set of large, Mid Century, salt and pepper shakers, they are 5.5 inches Tall, that's a lot of seasoning! These were all the rage in the 1940's and 1950's and are highly collectible today. They are made of light wood with decals showing fruits and a nice Italian bottle of wine in those great Chianti raffia basket bottles, and those gorgeous dovetail joints just puts them over the top! The word Salt and Pepper are done in block letters. They still have their original wooden stoppers and are stamped JAPAN on the bottom. If you look very closely, they both have tiny remnants of their original red and gold foil labels but there's really no way to tell who made them. Great collectibles! Perfect for a picnic, Pizza Party, or Italian theme get-together. Perfect retro-kitchen decor!
