The RC backstamp — which stands for Royal Crockery — was created by Noritake in 1933 exclusively for the India and Southeast Asian market, registered in India, and used only through approximately 1946. Pattern N1427 is a particularly delicate composition: pink and red roses with tiny blue-violet accent flowers, leaves shifting from green to blue to golden yellow, all set against brilliant white bone china with a gold rim and fine gold details. At 14.25" long, this platter makes a commanding presence at any table. Two small chips on the underside (photographed) are not visible when in use — priced accordingly.
