A pattern named for its wavy, interlocking lines — and a sugar bowl that earns more uses than it was designed for.
Indiana Glass produced the Pretzel pattern (#622) from the 1930s through the 1960s, making it one of the longer-running Depression glass patterns. This open footed sugar bowl has a distinctive diamond-shaped base, scalloped rim, two handles, and the signature wave motif that gives the pattern its name. It was never made with a lid — the open form invites creative use: a ladle-ready sauce bowl, a salt cellar, a vessel for candies, nuts, olives, or even matchbooks on a well-styled bar tray. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or scratches.
A delightful hostess gift filled with flavored sugar or specialty salts, and a satisfying find for the Depression glass collector.
