Five years. That's how long Anchor Hocking made the Fairfield pattern. This set of six is from that window — and the amber is exactly right for a fall table, a retro 70s bar cart, or anyone riding the current wave of 1970s revival décor.
This is a set of six vintage amber glass champagne coupes / low sherbets in the Fairfield pattern by Anchor Hocking. Manufactured between 1972 and 1977 only — a five-year production window that makes complete sets genuinely hard to find. Excellent condition throughout. One set available. (A set of eight is also available separately.)
The Fairfield pattern is defined by its pressed geometric lines that converge into a flower at the base of the cup and again on the foot — a design that is distinctly of its 1970s moment but has aged into something that looks entirely intentional on a well-dressed table. The amber colorway is particularly warm and rich, catching the light like cognac, and suits an autumn table, a candlelit bar cart, or a harvest-themed setting beautifully. The 1970s are having a serious revival right now — in interiors, in entertaining, in barware — and a set of six amber coupes in this color and pattern is exactly the kind of piece that makes a room. At 3.25 inches tall with a 3.5-inch opening, these are proper low coupes — the wide bowl works equally well for champagne, sparkling wine, sherbet, pudding, or fruit cups.
Hand wash recommended.
A wonderful set for a 1970s barware collector, an amber glass enthusiast, a fall entertaining host, or anyone decorating a retro bar or table with the warmth and confidence of 70s American glass at its best.
