- Vintage circa 1930's
- Details: Very high quality label, depicting a Scottish girl (lass) dressed in traditional Scottish Highlands dress which includes the tartan/plaid cloth kilt. The name comes from a song "Scotch Lassie Jean" by Harry Miller (1870). Traditionally girls did not wear kilts, but seems Lassie Jean did, who knows. There's are thistle flowers around her feet which has been the national emblem of Scotland since the reign of Alexander III in 1249. On the background there's a beautifully detailed castle by the water. This label is from the Strathmore Packing House in Strathmore, Tulare County, CA, it's a very large label, perfect for framing, decoupage, or other craft / school projects. It is New Old Stock from the factory, acquired from a long time dealer who put them away many years ago and is retiring. Framing is recommended to maintain this condition or store in an acid-free bag. Collecting labels has become a very popular hobby, mainly because of the many beautiful and unique images/artwork that can be found.
