This 8" comport pairs opaque white milk glass with a delicate clear glass edge, deeply ruffled into what Fenton called Double Crimped — generous in proportion, graceful in form, glowing white against any surface. Because it lacks the Fenton mark on the base (that practice began around 1970), this piece is almost certainly from the earlier, more coveted production period. Also known as a Comport — today the terms Compote and Comport are used interchangeably, though “Comport” is technically the older, 16th-century variation.
