• Details:  This is a gorgeous and rare porcelain decorative plate that's sure to add beauty to your plate and/or clown collection.  The main figure is the exact image of Paul Sebastian's "Dreams" sad clown figurine.  Same soft pink and grey colors, same cone hat with pom-poms, same ruffled sleeves and collar as well as his purple hair.  This clown is set on a beautiful crackled stone background with unique blue veining and a metal-like, high shine finish. The clown image is then superimposed on top of this crackled finish in a bisque porcelain and rimmed in gold.  We've taken a couple of pictures to try and show you the difference in texture and shine.  Plate Stand is included.  The plate is stamped on the back but hard to read.  For Decorative Purposes Only, Not for Food Use, May Poison Food.  So obviously, not for eating on, and who would want to?  This is a very rare piece, have not seen one like it, hope you like it as much as we do!

• Condition:  Vintage - Used.   Very Good Condition.  Plate Stand is included.  There are no cracks, chips however, there are tiny scratches acceptable due to age/use/wear.   There are also a couple of factory defects, these tiny little "dings" that when the light hits the metallic finish in a specific direction, they are visible, otherwise not noticeable.  We have tried to capture all these issues for you in the pictures.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear  and imperfections. 

*We have dated this piece based on much research.   We looked into the PS-Paul Sebastian sculpture titled "Dreams" being sold in the 1980's, and the fact that this clown is exactly the same face and colors of that piece.  Meico imported those figurines, and Meico is a wholesaler in Georgia which started in 1983.  Plus the fact that the original Meico label reads" Made in the Republic of China" and this plate is made in China.  We can also ascertain this plate was released closely following the success of that figurine, at least within 10 years of the original release, could be less.  It may not have been imported by Meico, but the trail of all mentioned above still rings true to us.  However, we are not experts, please consider purchasing this piece because you love it, not due to any value/pedigree or any relationship to Paul Sebastian ceramics we assume here.
