This is a vintage 1950s Canada Dry bottle cap, not for the familiar Ginger Ale but for the much scarcer Ginger Cola. The front reads "Canada Dry Cola" in the brand's traditional green, red, and white logo, with "Canada Dry Bottling Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin" printed around the rim. Metal cap with the original cork lining intact.

A fun find for a bottle cap collector, an advertising ephemera enthusiast, or anyone building a display of vintage soda history — equally at home framed solo or grouped with other caps from the era.

Canada Dry traces back to 1904, when Canadian pharmacist John J. McLaughlin perfected the ginger ale formula still used today. Originally sold as "Canada Dry Pale Ginger Ale" under the slogan "The Champagne of Ginger Ales," McLaughlin filed for a patent in 1905 and received it in 1907, the same year the "Canada Dry" trademark was officially registered to J.J. McLaughlin, Ltd. He died in 1914 at just 48, and his younger brothers, Robert Samuel and George M. McLaughlin, carried the company forward to lasting success.
