- Pattern: Bicentennial
- Made in USA
- Vintage 1976
- Details: This is a very nice collectible from Avon. It is a pressed glass, released in 1976 to commemorate our bicentennial celebration. This piece has a lot of detail starting with the Great Seal of the United States in the center, showing the beautiful eagle, the olive branch and arrows symbolizing the power of peace and war and the 13 stars symbolizing the 13 original colonies. It also has written in script lettering: "United States of America" on the top border and "1776 Bicentennial 1976" on the bottom border. This is an oval dish with two small embossed wooden sticks as handles and a scalloped rim. Overall, very well done and certainly a collector's piece, not only for Avon collector's but American history collectors too. Excellent as 4th of July decor, or in a study or library. If you are an Avon collector, this will make a very nice addition to your collection.
