March 1, 1987. Miami Orange Bowl. 69,076 fans. Genesis played for over two and a half hours — and this is the backstage pass from that night.
This is an original collector's backstage pass from Genesis' Invisible Touch Tour, specifically for the Miami, Florida Orange Bowl concert — the last US performance of the entire tour. Made by Otto, found at the Otto warehouse, and very uncommon. New Old Stock, never used, pristine condition. Thin synthetic satin cloth with sticky backside, suitable for framing.
The pass reads "Michelob Presents Genesis on Tour," is stamped "Collector's Item" across the front, and carries a sponsorship from WSHE, the Miami/Fort Lauderdale FM radio station. The back features the full 1987 concert tour schedule.
The Miami show was something special. Computerized lights jumping around the stage, changing colors, the band at the height of their powers. For the Orange Bowl, it was their second-largest crowd ever for a rock concert.
The Invisible Touch Tour ran from September 18, 1986 in Detroit to July 4, 1987 in London — 113 shows worldwide. Invisible Touch was Genesis' most successful album, producing five top singles. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
