Royal Tara started manufacturing Fine Bone China in Galway, Ireland in 1953.  They produced some of the finest china in Ireland, many of their patterns became collectibles.  Family run for almost 50 years, they always maintained a strong emphasis on hand crafted items that were original and practical.  Unfortunately Royal Tara closed in 2000.  However, they continue to design china patterns for Clara Ceramics and Islandcraft, but they're no longer made in Ireland.
