Details: A very pretty etched floral vase, with daisy-like flowers, graceful stems and leaves. We have very little information on this vase but we fell in love with it. The original manufacturer sticker is still on the vase, and it reads: "Cameo Crystal, Hand-Cut, Made in Turkey". Of course you should not confuse this vase with actual antique Cameo Glass, however, Turkey has a rich culture of artisan crafting, specially with glass. Turkey has been making reproduction cameo glass since the 1990's, maybe even earlier, by sandblasting using stencils, (as opposed to acid etching used on the antique pieces), the result is a very pretty, elegant vase. If you are looking for a for Mother's Day or hostess gift, this one will not disappoint, it's in perfect condition.
