Condition: Very Good — minor surface scratches and discoloration are visible, but there are no dents or missing silver. The back is a bit more worn than the front, and it needs a good cleaning. The Wm. A. Rogers mark was used as early as 1897. It became part of Oneida silver around 1929, and Oneida employed the mark as late as 1978. Oneida itself began as the Oneida Community, a utopian society founded by John Humphrey Noyes in upstate New York in 1848, and grew into one of America's best known makers of silverplate and flatware.
